Week 10 DraftKings Plays

Last week was a good one. I suggested multiple plays that ended up as the top scoring plays and won many people plenty of money. This week there are just as many juicy matchups to exploit so lets get to it.

QB:

Tom Brady ($8,600)- Brady has been on fire this season, but took a step back last week. He only scored 18.9 points on DK which is significantly less than his season average of 27.8. This week he gets to play against the Giants who a struggling Drew Brees absolutely torched two weeks back. It legitimately wouldn’t surprise me to see Tom Brady break the NFL record for the most TD’s in a game if the Giants can keep the game close. The Vegas O/U is 55 with the Pats projected point total at 31.5. Fire up Tom Brady in as many lineups as you can. He isn’t a bad GPP play due to recency bias and the people that got burned by him last week not wanting to play him again.

Blake Bortles ($5,500)- The Ravens secondary is a joke and Bortles has been playing very well. He played extremely well against the Jets D last week and now gets a much easier matchup. Even if Hurns is out, Allen Robinson should have a field day this week and Bortles should have a great game. For a price $3,000 less then Brady, this gives you the flexibility to load up in other places.

Cam Newton ($7,000)- Cam has been playing extremely well for fantasy purposes and in real life. He is a mid-priced QB this week and is a safe play, but also a great GPP play because of his running ability. He gets to play against the Titans who I am still not convinced are very good. I generally don’t like to stack Cam as much due to his no name receivers and with three outstanding plays at TE this week there isn’t much reason to play Greg Olsen.

RB:

Deangelo Williams ($6,500)- He was in this section last week and absolutely killed it. This week he draws an even better matchup. The Browns are horrible against the run and with Landry jones subbing in at QB for Big Ben I expect the Steelers to rely heavily on the run. D-Willy could have another monster game this week and is very affordable.

Doug Martin ($5,600)- This is one of my sneaky plays that could end up as one of the best of the week. After last weeks horrible game I can’t imagine his ownership will be very high which makes him a great tournament play. I am not worried about the snap share from last week between him and Charles Sims because the game flow went heavily in favor of sims. He should get back on track this week against Dallas who has been giving up loads of points to opposing fantasy running backs. With the Bucs actually favored in this game, I expect a heavy dose of Doug Martin.

Todd Gurley ($7,300)- Gurley again. I know. He just hasn’t really slowed down and this definitely isn’t the week he will. The Bears defense still isn’t very good and Gurley is going to be heavily featured. He should get another 20+ touches as long as the game stays close and be able to have a good game. He is a really safe play and will be highly owned, but 150+ yards and 2 touchdowns isn’t out of the question.

WR:

Stefon Diggs ($5,100)- Diggs had a bad game last week but don’t let that deter you from using him this week. He has a great matchup against Oakland and it looks like Teddy Bridgewater should play providing a huge boost for Diggs. While Diggs isn’t Antonio Brown they have similar styles as receivers and Antonio brown just had a record setting day against that same secondary. At only $5,100 he is one of my favorite plays for the week.

Calvin Johnson/Golden Tate ($7,500/ $4,600)- This is purely based off the facts that both of these receivers are talented, will have low percentages of ownership and are projected to lose by a lot, making for some good garbage time points. That combination can be just as good as a great matchup. I will be using both of these players in random tournament lineups.

Allen Robinson ($6,700)- A-Rob matches up against the Ravens, who have one of the worst secondary’s in the NFL. I like the Bortles-Robinson stack this week but will also have Robinson in as many lineups as possible. This matchup has monster game written all over it. Hurns being a little banged up only helps his case this week as he should be targeted a lot.

Kamar Aiken ($4,600)- Now that Steve Smith is out for the season, Aiken will assume his role. In a Marc Trestman run offense this is a valuable role. Despite not winning many games or the Ravens offense looking great Aiken should gobble up 5-8 passes a game. This week he gets to play the Jags who don’t have a great secondary. You can expect Aikens price to rise from here on out so you might as well play him while he is cheap.

TE:

Rob Gronkowski ($8,000)- The Giants are one of the worst in the league at guarding the TE, the Patriots projected points total is 31.5 points and Tom Brady will be looking towards Gronk all day looking to exploit the significant weakness in the Giants D. It wouldn’t surprise me for Belichick and the New England staff to make many specific plays to get Gronk the ball. Gronk is ridiculously expensive but should have low ownership because of his struggles lately.

Jordan Reed ($4,600)- I was on Reed last week and he had a rough one. His late touchdown saved his day, but he was dropping balls everywhere and was struggling along with the Washington offense. This week he plays a team that can’t guard a TE for their life. The Saints are favored as well so the Skins should be throwing a lot again. Hopefully this week Reed can hold onto the ball because he will get plenty of targets.

Austin Seferians-Jenkins ($2,800)- I liked him last week but he ended up sitting. Week 1 he posted a 5-110-2 line racking up 31 points. That kind of upside for only $2,800 can’t be found anywhere else this week. If he plays I will have him in a few tournament lineups.

D/ST:

Broncos ($3,400)

Panthers ($3,300)

Packers( $3,200)
